Today, begins an end of a era...
A few weeks ago, I was watching my friend lose weight, gain life and transform her moods and outlook on life. I wondered how she was doing it, so I asked.
After finding out she was on the Michelle Bridges 12WBT, I probed for more answers... how, how much, where can I do it?
I thought about asking my husband what he thought, but realised, it isn't about him, this about me. It HAS to be all about me. About me making healthier choices, deciding to exercise, deciding to say no to the things that will delay my weight loss, choosing the things that will facilitate my journey to a healthier me... after all, we all know that the key to good sustainable weight loss is based on diet and exercise...
So here I am, day one of the 12week program. So far I have weighed all my food for portion control, drank 500ml water ( more to come) and vowed to walk to school to pick up my girls from school.
Here it is... my commitment to ME. I commit to losing weight, gaining life, becoming healthier, not heavier, to choosing better over quicker, to use my body more, not my car.
On this day, I would like to wish my beautiful little girl a VERY happy Birthday. There will be more cake for everyone tonight, cos my piece will be very small... a sliver.
